Registry Path Changer

There has been always a problem for backing up "My Documents" data of windows. When ever you need to FORMAT windows you have to explicitly back up your data and if you are unlucky then you won't be able to back it up and eventually you'll loss all your data of My Documents folder. So what's the solution?

I have made this software. What you need to do is to run it once when you first install the windows (you can run it now as well) - it'll show you the current path for your My Documents, My Pictures, My Videos and Desktop. You can change it from the software. Now, what ever you store in your My Documents, My Pictures, My Videos and Desktop, it'll be saved to your new location and windows will recognize it as it's own My Documents. Your data will be saved to your desired location and will remain there even if you reformat your windows.

On re-installing windows, if you set the path of your Documents folder to your last path (which you used during last installation) your new windows will again have same data that you had .

It's quite handy utility made by me for those who use these folders extensively for quick access of data. Before posting it publically i want mods to test it .

It's Self explanatory so no need for some user guide.

Lekin hum My Documents ka jo link desktop par hota hy usko agar right click karein aur My Documents k folder ko move kar dein C drive ki bajaye D drive mein to kisi software ya patcher ki zrurat nahi rahay gi, am i right ? ya iss patcher se kuch aur ho ga, means will it do something different?

wo aap k desktop pr mojoood icon k path change kray ga. Which for some cases is right. but when most of the softwares install they create specific directories. like in case of MSN it creates "My Received Files" in "My Documents" so agr aap nay desktop say path change kiya hai to installation pr ye software aap k new path pr ja kr folder nahi bnaye ga. blkay us paath pr bnaye ga jo windows ka defualt hai . isi tarah bohat saray aur softwares hain. like Skype and many more.

ab aik faida ye b dekh lain. k aap nay agr is software say path change kr diya hai .. to MSN install krnay pr aap k "My Received Files" ka path ab aap ki desired location pr hoga. so next time agr aap windows re-install krtay hain aur ye process dobara krtay hain to msn ki installation k baad aap ki received files waisay ki waisay rahai gi ..

similarly if you installed MSN PLUS - which keeps CHAT LOGS in "My Chat Logs" created in My Documents - so no matter how many times you re-installed windows .. by patching the My Document path with this utility your chat logs will remain with you *ALWAYS*.

Nahin ye new path par banati hyn folder "My Received Files" ka.



My Chat Logs ka folder b wahan hi banta hy jis jaga ka path diya gaya ho.
