When it came to reading, the book grabbed my attention from its first two pages. Blasphemywas one book that shocked me not only by its bold and intense story line, but also by the fact that power can drive people to forget their values and believes. It is a story about an ordinary girl who literally becomes a PROPERTY of a so-called Holy Man. The book presents ignorance of an illiterate rural society that worships its "Pir" (clergyman). This book brings forth the hidden truth about the pir culture in Pakistan. It highlights the emotional and physical tortures these villagers and young women; in particular, have to go through to fulfill the lust for position and authority of these pirs.
the book locked me in the state of shock, dis-belief and distress for a long time. it's awful reading it.. and i literally cried over certain points.
becoming aware of how reliegon is exploited in our societies is very painful.

A dazzling story of religious exploitation...The book is about hypocracy and what happens when male political and social power is unchecked, especially, by religion.well-written and unsentimental... It challenges us to ask how we would have reacted in similar circumstances, it is a study not only of evil, but of how we react to it, how we survive and what it costs us and those around us. Well worth a read...

I am a horror movie fanatic.SAW is basically a psychological thriller,but a Gr8 movie,
just a few too many loopholes left unattended!
Maybe it wasn't plausible without a lot of hard work put into it!
My fav bk is " The Collector" by John Fowles
its an amazin bk ... its a story of obsessive love - ( it aint romantic ) - ITS JUZ AWSUM .. to all the ppl who like to read bkz dat stir their minds... u honestly gotta read this !
