See the string
That keeps it down?
That's my cage
To which I am bound

Spin out of control
Nothing to stop me
And nowhere to go

That's me right there
A surface of colors
Contained in a square
Seen and ignored
As you walk past
How long have I lingered?
How long will I last?

One day I will break
One day I might fall
I can't stay here forever
I can't always stand tall
I should run away
Before I go insane
To a place where I exist
Where I'm allowed to feel pain
Empty, empty
A hollow shell
The crumbling rocks
Under a broken well

Let me go
Let me run free
I want to be happy
Just let me be
You can't trap me forever
With your rules and your dreams
I've kept them long enough
It's time I was me !!
