Ok well here's the real scenario actually vista has your SATA HDD drivers included but Xp hasn't got the drivers, so your only way is to create a custom cd of Xp with SATA drivers slipstreamed. If u don't wanna go through all this better stick with Vista and install 'Service Pack 1' which will drastically improve performance

I checked with windows update, and it says that no update is available, in update history,,, there are saveral installed updates of vista,,,, but i dont know,,, has it downloaded SP1 as well or not
