i hope sab theek hoon ... mere laptop k sath aik masla ho giya hai :S kuch din pehle office k hi aik pc se ghalati se sharing kar betha jiss sekoi virus aa giya phir uss k baad se main jab MY COMPUTER se jaa kar kissi bhi DRIVER main jata tu wo DRIVE same window main khulne ki bajaye new window main open hoti or sath hi virus alert k yeh File Name xhuaod.dll Threat Name :BLOODHOUND.PACKED.JMP virus ju k [ C:\DOCUME~1\Fahad\LOCALS~1\Temp ] main tha wo delete kar diya hai ... or sath main yeh masla tha k main jab folder option main jaa kar hide folders ko SHOW kar k ok kar k jab dobara dekhta tu folder open same hi rehta yani hide folder show hi nahi hote beshaak folder option se ja kar usse show hidden folder kar dain lakin jab ok karne k baad dobara folder option dekhain tu wo option waise hi hota yani folder hide hi rehte.. abhi last 3/4 din se VIRUS alert msg aana tu band ho giya hai but abhi yeh hota hai k main jab MY COMPUTER se ja kar kissi drive main jane k liye click karta hoon tu wo option show karta deta hai k OPEN WITH main OPEN WITH main ja kar explrer main jata hoon lakin wo drive show hi nahi karta majboraan addresbar se mujhe apni drives main jana parta hai ... or abhi bhi folder option waise k waise hi hain ... plz koi help karee main tu tang aaya hua hoon... boss ko kaha tha k window dobara kar dey wo kehta hai k bar bar windows karne se laptop ka processer slow ho jata hai halan_k last time window 7 month pehle ki thi :( ... plz L T , I M ya koi bhi mere madaad karoo or SIMPLE PROCESS main batain k main kiya karooN

dono men say koi install kar kay virus definations update kar kay scan karaen , jab tak dono men say koi na koi ajyege

yaar mere pass NORTON antivirus install hai wo bhi wo bhi registered or uss per last 1 n half year se koi bhi virus aaye tu foran alert aa jata hai abhi bhi last wek tak jab main koi bhi drive open karta tu new window mian open ho jati or sath amin virus removal ka aa jata abhi wo alert ana band ho giya hai lakin jab drive open kareen tu OPEN WITH option aa jata hai n my folders option JAM hue hue hain DONT SHOW per :( :(

Norton ke wo baat nahe rahe jo phele the, abb tou virus sub sa phele hamla he Anti-Virus per kartay hain, App Kasper ya phir NOD 32 try karo, mere tou saray prob Kasper sahe kar deta hai aur phir sari drives double click per open hojati hain , folder option jo JAM Hain wo sub virus ke he karsastani hai

yani tussi want to say k CASPER kar loon sare masle haal ho jayeen ge???

waise mere pass ORIGINAL n REGISTERED ANTIVIRUS hai ju theek karta hai .. usually ju kissi site se download hota hai ya CDS se kiye jate hain unhain VIRUS ragra de jata hai

Well its not a virus some time it even happened with a fresh Installation of XP

This problem has already been discussed here

First of all remove all the viruses if then also it ask for open with just go start run type command in that go to your C or D drive if in C drive then type dir just see if there is autorun.inf if not then in C drive itself type attrib over there you can see autorun.inf
then type attrib autorun.inf -s -h -r and then press enter after that it will again come to C drive and then type del autorun.inf and then exit and restart your computer if in D drive also do the same procedure instead of C type D.

If problem exist then i would suggest you to have Fresh copy of XP with New partitioned hard drive...

Sometime NEW installation is must then repairing things with softwares/ tricks

laikin yaar aik prob. hay NOD32 ka latest version (3.0) jab mein install karta hon to woh garbar kar deta hay aur baar baar restart karna shuro kar deta hay .......laikin jo meray pass hay version 2.7 .....uss ko update karta rahon to phir thik rehta hay

I m sorry pal, but there are only two options left for U. 1- Delete the infected EXEs yourself, 2- Format the whole damn harddrive. I recommend option 1.
i-Get any boot cd. (HIREN, TROPIX etc)
ii-Boot from that cd.
iii-Load a DOS file manager.
iV-Manually browse the drives( type C: <enter> and so on)
v-Delete any INF,INI,EXE file present in the root of drive.
Viola.
It's the safest method.
Antiviruses are supposed to remove infectious files but most of time they remove the whole damn file not the infection alone. So I never use an Antivirus.

That's why u say Mac is the best Os

Friend I love Windows cuz I know what I do. Anyone with a bit of common sense can protect his/her Windows Machine without even a single Security software.
MacOSX is cool in terms of power, ease and stability.
But I forgot that u dont have enough money to buy an Original DVD. I can send an original copy if u want. Loooney.
